My family was also among those families. We were very troubled during that time but our family came to India to escape the Japanese occupation of Burma. After some time, Helen and her family came to Mumbai from Assam.

Helen was born on 21 November 1938 in Yangon, Myanmar (now Burma). Helen’s fathers were Marlen Richardson and Zerag. In 1957, Helen married Prem Narayan Arora, from whom she separated in 1974. Helen married Salim Khan in 1981 and is still with him. Salman Khan is Helen’s step son, but he loves Helen like his real mother. Helen lives with her entire family including Salim Khan and his first wife Salma Khan.
