Dunki OTT Release: Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Dunki’ was released in cinemas on December 21, 2023. The film performed well at the box office and according to Snilak Dot Com’s report, it earned ₹454 crore worldwide. Recent reports suggest that ‘Dunki’ was planning to make its digital debut on JioCinema; however, the film is now streaming on another OTT platform. Dunki OTT Release Date On Netflix

On Wednesday, Netflix India shared a poster of Shah Rukh Khan’s starrer ‘Dunki’ on Instagram and announced the OTT release of Dunki on the platform. The caption read, “Get ready to welcome him home! After Dunki around the world, @iamsrk is coming home… Dunki is now streaming on Netflix!” Dunki made its OTT debut on Netflix on February 14, 2024.

Dunki” was Shah Rukh Khan’s final release of 2023, following the success of “Pathaan” and “Jawan”. Speaking about working with Shah Rukh, Rajkumar Hirani recently stated in an interview with ANI, “You always want to make a meaningful and good story film. Shah Rukh was already fond of the story. After doing action films, as an artist, he also wanted to do something different, which is why he was very interested in this. I also wanted to work with him for a long time, and for me, that wish has been fulfilled, and finally, we are working together and having a lot of fun.”

“Dunki,” which was the first collaboration between SRK and Hirani, marked Shah Rukh’s third release of 2023. He had previously delivered “Pathaan” and “Jawan,” both of which had earned significant revenue worldwide. With the release of Dunki, expectations were high that it would also create waves at the box office, if not more! However, in reality, the film did not perform as spectacularly as SRK’s other two movies.

Shah Rukh Khan had earlier mentioned that in 2023, he had worked on three films for ‘body,’ ‘mind,’ and ‘soul’ – “Pathaan” required physical preparation, “Jawan” stimulated his mind, and “Dunki” brought joy to his soul.

Nevertheless, when it came to being a money-spinner, Dunki also worked its magic! With earnings of ₹272 crore in India and ₹182 crore overseas, it amassed a total business of ₹454 crore! Wow, what an achievement

Dunki vs Salaar

]Dunki received mixed reviews from audiences and critics, and clashed with Prabhas’s blockbuster Salaar: Part 1 – Encounter with Peace. The Hindi version of Salaar is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar on February 16. The film was originally shot in Telugu and was also released in theaters in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil. Apart from Hindi, other versions were released on Netflix last month.
